International Women’s Day is celebrated every year on 8th March and asks everyone to help make the world a more gender inclusive place. This year’s theme is #PressforProgress.

The World Economic Forum’s 2017 Global Gender Gap Report is telling us that gender parity is still over 200 years away, making the original aim of International Women’s Day, started in 1908, to achieve full gender equality for women across the world still has not been realised.

It is therefore an important time for women to #Pressforprogress and with the recent movements such as #Metoo and #TimesUp there is a strong global momentum for gender parity. International Women’s Day is not country, group or organisation specific, it is open for everyone, everywhere and together we can make a change for the better. ABMA Education believes in gender equality and education for all, helping to make gender parity a reality for many of our learners around the world.

As an organisation we have restructured our fees for international learners, removing the registration fee, to help to make education more accessible.

We have also added additional skills training to our syllabus to assist learners develop work ready skills and enhance their skill set, to ensure they become confident and talented employees. We strongly believe that every learner, male or female, should be given the chance of an education, to better themselves and achieve their academic and career goals and we support each and every learner to be successful on their journey to achievement.

On this day we encourage you to #Pressforprogress, spread the word and encourage every women to continue to work and achieve their dream and help make the world more gender inclusive. We have joined with our centres to show our support and to celebrate the achievements of women around the world.
