Entry Requirements
ABMA qualifications have been devised to be flexible and adaptable allowing you to access the training that is relevant to you no matter what your current level of learning or experience. Simply look below to find out the Entry Requirements for each ABMA qualification level.
Should your current training not satisfy the entry requirements for the ABMA Level 4 Diploma, an ABMA Certificate level qualification will give you direct entry onto an ABMA Level 4 Diploma qualification.
ABMA Level 4 Diploma
Learners wishing to undertake a Level 4 Diploma qualification with ABMA Education should already be in possession of a level 3 qualification or equivalent. In addition, it is recommended that students should possess a GCSE, or equivalent, in Maths and English, at Grade A* – D.
Evidence of professional work experience can be submitted for a minimum of one year within a job sector that is related to the subject area that the learner intends to study. Examples of evidence that ABMA will accept includes:
- Employer references detailing the learner’s duties and responsibilities
- Certificates of training/courses
Learners are encouraged to submit to ABMA Education details of all types of training that they have obtained.
ABMA Level 5 Diploma
A new learner applying to study the ABMA Level 5 Diploma will be expected to have attained one of the following:
- An ABMA Level 4 Diploma
- A national or international qualification equivalent to the above
Learners who wish to enter at this level can use their professional work experience as evidence, provided that this experience is a minimum of two years and situated within a job sector that is related to the subject area that the learner intends to study. Examples of evidence that ABMA Education will accept includes:
- Employer references detailing the learner’s duties and responsibilities
- Certificates of training/courses
Learners are encouraged to submit to ABMA Education details of all types of training that they have obtained.
ABMA Level 6 Diploma
A new learner applying to study the ABMA Level 6 Diploma will be expected to have attained one of the following:
- An ABMA Level 5 Diploma
- A Higher National Diploma (HND)
- A national or international qualification equivalent to the above
Learners who wish to enter at this level can use their professional work experience as evidence, provided that this experience is a minimum of four years and situated within a job sector that is related to the subject area that the learner intends to study. Examples of evidence that ABMA Education will accept includes:
- Employer references detailing the learner’s duties and responsibilities
- Certificates of training/courses
Learners are encouraged to submit to ABMA Education details of all types of training that they have obtained.
