The Compulsory Question

At the end of the case study, there will be a single question related to the passage. The question may not specifically refer to the case study but will be directly related to the area of study that the case study has been derived from.

You will be expected to show, at both Certificate and Diploma levels, that you can apply your knowledge and understanding, as well as an appropriate level of autonomy and accountability, to the question posed and relate your answer to the subject area from which the case study passage is derived.

It should be noted that you will be expected to use local and national examples to support your answer to the questions posed. The objective is to test your understanding of the principles of the subject area and how those principles are applied practically. Therefore, the use of local and national examples in answering the question posed is recommended.

There is no definitive ‘right answer’ to the case study question. The question will be designed to allow you to demonstrate your learning of the entire subject area and that you are able to apply, analyse and evaluate what you have learnt in a clear and logical manner.
